6:45 AM Joey had a great night. His biggest concern was that we needed to sleep so he could wake up and get his tubes out and EAT! His epideral pulled out sometime yesterday afternoon (we think the tape got stuck to the sheets and we pulled it out when we moved him up). Anyway, doesn't seem like it mattered much, because he hasn't had any pain since it happened. They gave him a Patient Controlled Anesthesia machine that gives him a regular ongoing dose and an extra dose if we hit the button. We haven't hit the button once since it went in yesterday afternnon. Amazing boy and patient. I beleieve all tubes will be out this AM and he will start to eat this AM. We played video games around dinner time yesterday and he has been quite pleasant since. I just can't beleieve a child could have this kind of abdominal surgery on Monday and recover like this. I guess we all need to rememeber the saying, "Walk with your FAITH and not your SIGHT". I just happend to hear that on the radio yesterday and it has stuck with me ever since. Love to all, Jeff
