Another day in CAN-tuky. We were at the hospital a little longer than expected today, but the good news is we shortened our visit for tomorrow by getting an extra blood draw today. The day began with stress as Joey had to have a butterfly injection in his hand first thing. His cousin Nick told him to just spin a web on the butterfly and throw it out the window so no one could stick him. He thought about it, but told me that he didn't because there was no window. I had put the numbing cream on his hand an hour before his dye injection, but he still screamed at the thought of it. Not sure if it was the anxiety or any real pain...but, it was short lived. The rest of the day was spent with blood samples from his tube and a lot of waiting. A quick comment on prayer...Joey, Gina and I were saying prayers last night and Joey asked me, "Mom, can God hear was in CAN-tucky?" I said, "Joey, God created the world, so he can hear us anywhere we are." Joey said, "Can he even hear us from our hotel?" I said, "Yes, Joey, I hope he not only hears us, but that also he answers our prayers." Joey said, "Well, Mom, if you think he won't hear you, you just have to talk REALLY LOUD." So, keep talking REALLY LOUD all you prayer warriors out there. We need it. We will have some fun next week. Looks like Joey will be admitted around the 17th. We'll keep you posted. And, we miss all of you.
