We have been busy the past few days. On Tuesday evening, we ventured to an awesome mall to go to Build A Bear, courtesy of Lisa Moran. Joey, once again, chose something other than a bear. Of the furry friends he has created in the past, we now have a moose, a monkey, a rhino and a tiger. But, they are all cute. Gina chose a bear. Both had a great time. On Wednesday, we went to the Cincinnati Museum Center. It was AWESOME! We went to the Children's Museum which had a bunch of interactive play areas. It was all inside and great for Joey who can't be in the sun. Gina had a blast too leading him around the jungle section-a huge play area with tubes and slides. It was great to see him playing like a normal kid. We then went to the Natural Museum and studied dinosaurs. They have a real cave under the building. The kids, grandparents and I explored it together. Really real, but without the critters. They also had an Ice Age area to explore. The best, though, for Joey, was a human body area. He is lately asking me the wildest questions. He is really interested in his body. The other day he wanted to know HOW his words come out--what makes the sound. We got over that question, and today, he asked me where do they go once they come out? I said, into our ears to hear. He decided that his words don't make it into Grandpa's ears because he has so much trouble hearing. Today, we went to the Zoo. We had complimentary passes that were arranged by Marvel Comics for us. It was a perfect day, just cool enough for Joey. I asked him his favorite part, and he said, "All of it." Gina liked the gorillas and the gift shop. We did see some cool rhinos that he thought he could defeat just like Spider-man. He'll have to discuss it with Spider-man this weekend because the amazing people at Marvel, specifically Judy Janevski, have arranged for Spidey to come to the hotel on Saturday. We are so excited. Joey will be surprised. It should make his life, and ours. Last night, Joey asked me one of those phenomenal questions at prayer time again. He said, "Mommy, how do we get to God's home?" I said, "Joey, God lives everywhere because he watches over us." Joey said, "To make sure we are ok?" I said, "Yes, to make sure we are ok." He said, "Well, tell God he doesn't have to come here anymore, because I'm ok!" So noted Joey. I know God is watching over him and all of us. I know he will be ok.
