Thanks to all the wonderful prayer warriors we have out there. Great idea Judy for the calendar--thanks to my awesome cousin Mike for putting it together. Some of you have said you had trouble linking to it from the website. If so, pray anyway. I was able to link up through Mike's last posting. That may help. Joey can use all the prayers especially in the coming 2-3 weeks. He was still able to play around the room today. Gina and I came this afternoon, and he was on top of the world seeing his sister. She was very sweet to him. They played a little zoom ball---it is this great toy for two to help strengthen Joey's upper body. She loved it. It was wonderful to see them laughing together today. It was short lived, though, as she and Jeff had to return home tonight. I understand that Grandma Mary Ann put a sign on the door to welcome Gina home since all of the signs so far have been for Joey. Great idea, Mom. She will love it. Gina is being a trooper, but having a hard time with this whole thing. I can't say I blame her. It is killing me that she will start first grade on Tuesday without me. Joey and I are settling into our week ahead. It is getting tougher now. The chemo is starting to take it's toll. This evening it took me 2 hours to persuade him to swish 5 ml each of 3 mouth swish meds. Two of them came back up at me with whatever food he did intake. It's a tough program for my little guy and very frustrating for me. It's not something you can force and it must be done 3 times/day. Following that, I had to have him swallow 20 pills. (no exaggeration after we split them to a size he can handle) He is sleeping well right now. He will be on rest for 3 days until Wednesday. I will try to get some rest today as well. Gina and I did go to church this morning at an old beautiful church in Newport. Guess what? The name is Holy Spirit Church! The soloist last week was amazing--she made me sound like a bullfrog. Today was also a beautiful mass-but, the group was folk. John-if you're reading this, they sang AY-MEN in quite an upbeat version. I'll have to fill you in when I return. I'm sure it would have made you cringe! I miss all of you at home. Till next time...love to all.
