We visited the clinic today. Joey was there for a weekly check of his blood counts. He is doing well, and holding his own. This round of Accutane seems to be going fine. They bumped us up to the full dose starting tomorrow for the remainder of the round. Joey and I just hung out and played video games while we waited on the counts. After that, I drove him through for his new favorite, White Castle. He just looks amazing. I always knew it on the inside, but to see it on the outside is without measure. His hair continues to come in, but slowly, on the bald spot. I hope to see a jump in his counts at some point. He feels too good to be so isolated. He just wants to go IN a restaurant one of these days. I did take him and Gina to the pet store yesterday to refill our tank. We had one remaining fish named Splat. We killed the other three. It was so cute when we were at the pet store. Joey saw a tank of fish that looked like Splat. He said, "Hey Mom, Look! It's Splat's family!" Then, when we brought the fish home he said to Splat, "You're going to make some WONDERFUL friends!" Our new fish are named Smoke, Astro, Spidey, and something else I can't remember. The gold snail is of course, Goldfinger. Gina and Joey both blurted that out at once. I'm lovin' Goldfinger! He has quite an appetite and has single handedly cleaned the algae in the tank. I wonder if they have super size snails for the rest of the house? Just a thought! Anyway, great weekend to all. And, Go Steelers! Joey and I have a week off from the clinic. The next visit will be on the 27th. Too weird, but I'll take it!
